The truth is that Marx was no more responsible for the monstrous oppression of the communist world than Jesus was responsible for the Inquisition.

G. A. Cohen - Against Capitalism - Part 1
Gerry Cohen explain Capitalism and it’s responses by critics.
A Capitalist America is an Overworked America. Help your corporation maximize profits!
Oasis of Socialism (by RussiaToday)
(via rethinksocialism)
Capitalism doesn’t work because it feeds the greed that oppresses the poor. It allows others to have so much by means of exploitation while others are barely surviving. It rewards the wealthiest with the belief that they are the hardest working. Because of privatization, shortcuts are taken often at the expense of the worker, all only for profit.
The interests of corporations are not in the well being of the worker, but in profit and growth. Because of the levels of power that corporations hold, they have power in the government. The government should always keep the best interest of the worker, but when corporations involve themselves in policy-making, you can imagine the effects that corporate profit have on the policies made.
Capitalism has created a Plutonomy. A Plutonomy is defined by Investopedia as
“Economic growth that is powered and consumed by the wealthiest upper class of society. Plutonomy refers to a society where the majority of the wealth is controlled by an ever-shrinking minority; as such, the economic growth of that society becomes dependent on the fortunes of that same wealthy minority.”
Chances are you are not a capitalist, you are a worker. For what reasons should you be defending the wealth of the capitalist that exploits you?
“Capitalism doesn’t work, but YOU do!”
